Lg hg6 battery pulse rating10/24/2022 ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, though, the deficiencies stand out more. #LG HG6 BATTERY PULSE RATING UPGRADE#With HDR and Daydream VR capabilities, the OLED’s deep blacks and vivid hues represent an upgrade over previous generations of LG LCDs. The V30 represents LG’s first OLED phone since the ill-fated G Flex 2. #LG HG6 BATTERY PULSE RATING ANDROID#It looks like any old Android phone. I prefer the distinguishing touches of metal in the G6 and V20. While there’s nothing wrong with the V30’s design, there’s nothing memorable about it either. The bezel-slimming movement has had the unfortunate side effect of homogenizing large handsets to the point of bring indistinguishable, however, and LG couldn’t resist the trend. The glass backing has a metallic sheen to it that reflects the light nicely, and feels smooth without being too slippery. Around the back you’ll find a dual camera setup and a centered fingerprint scanner that once again doubles as a power button. Where the previous model had strips of metal at the top and bottom reminiscent of the timeless HTC One, the front of the V30 is entirely made of black glass. With its new design, however, the V30 has also left behind some of the V20’s character. ![]() On the front of the LG G6, there’s a solid selfie camera with its own in-built Beauty Mode filter. The LG V30 has a big screen, but it fits comfortable in your hand thanks to its slimmer bezels. ![]() LG also lets you use the wide-angle view to record video, too. Granted, these photos aren’t as sharp as their 16MP counterparts, but they are guaranteed to catch your eye. Whether it’s a scenic cityscape, or just a quick snap of you and your friends having a laugh at the weekend – the dual camera gives everything an interesting new twist. The slight bulge of the fish-eye effect looks great, and lets you capture a ton of detail in the periphery of your shots without distorting the subject in the middle. LG makes it incredibly easy to swap between the standard 16MP camera, which captures reliable photographs with crisp detail and pleasantly vivid colours, and the wide-angle set-up.Īnd it’s in the latter that the LG G6 truly shines. Granted, the double cameras do make the phone look a little weird but the results are immensely fun. The dual-camera set-up brings a host of new options to smartphone photographers – and creates some truly unique shots. LG says these quirky-looking cameras give the the G6 a wider field of view than the human eye. The device, which is similar to last year’s G6, pairs a standard-angle 16 megapixel sensor and a 5 megapixel 125-degree wide angle lens alongside the LED flash. Unlike many of its Android rivals LG has, once again, included a dual camera on the G6. However, even with these negatives, LG has certainly made huge improvements with the G6 and it is, without doubt, the best looking device the company has made. ![]() Our only other criticism of the G6 is that, compared to the new Galaxy S8, it does look and feel a little chunky. Sadly, when you flip it over things get a little less pleasing.įrom the rear the LG G6 looks strange with the dual camera and fingerprint scanner giving the appearance of frightened face. LG has also removed all unnecessary buttons and bulges which makes the device look sleek and minimalistic. Soft, curved edges and minimal bezels make it nice to hold and you’ll have no problem using the G6 with one hand. This new design also gives the phone a quality feel that’s certainly far more robust than last year’s plasticky G5. The LG G6’s design is bit like Marmite and you’re either going to love it or hate it.įrom the front the device looks decent enough with its metal and glass body bringing plenty of appeal to your pocket. ![]()
